Joe Jiménez is the author of Hot Boy Summer (MTV Books/Simon & Schuster, 2024) as well as the poetry collections Rattlesnake Allegory, The Possibilities of Mud, and a young adult novel, Bloodline. Jiménez is the recipient of the 2016 Letras Latinas/Red Hen Press Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared on the PBS NewsHour and Lambda Literary sites. He lives in San Antonio, Texas. Joe is a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop.
